Chinese tea-drink brand Heytea opens first Hong Kong store

Chinese tea-drink brand Heytea announced today (3 January 2019) that it has opened its first Hong Kong store on the Christmas eve, leveraging the city’s international status as well as its vibrant food and beverage scene to promote Heytea as a hip and innovative tea-drink brand among younger consumers globally.

Located at the major shopping mall in Shatin, the store not only offers its signature cheese tea, but also a wide range of tea flavours from all over the world with aims to renew the traditional tea culture. It also introduces an exclusive product with local taste, Eggette Roll Sundae, to the Hong Kong market, adding new vitality into the brand, according to its founder Nie Yunchen.

He said, “Geographically, Hong Kong is adjacent to Guangdong Province and Shenzhen. Hong Kong people have already known our brand and often buy our tea when they visit Shenzhen or other cities in Guangdong. In order to thank our patrons and cope with an increasing demand of our tea, we think it is the right time to extend our reach to the city.”

He added, “In the long run, we will not only eye on Hong Kong market but also expand our overseas business from here. We will use Hong Kong to manage our overseas business and take our brand to the global stage. Our aim is to promote our innovative tea culture to the world via the city.”
